Early Stage Researcher 15 at Volkswagen

Two automotive industrial cases were proposed to be used for the development and evaluation of the IODA modules:

  • VW S-Bend (Figure 1, left), where the duct power dissipation has to be minimized, or the outlet flow uniformity has to be maximized.
  • DrivAer car model (Figure 1, right), where the mirror shape is being optimised, in order to generate less turbulence noise in a volume directly adjacent to the driver’s window which is related to the aeroacoustic noise propagating into the interior.
