Research Fellows
Flavio Gagliardi
Early Stage Researcher 7 at National Technical University of Athens
I was born and raised in Torino, a city in Italy on the foothills of Alps. Motivated by the fact that energy poses one of the most significant challenges of our time, both from meeting growing demand and minimizing the environmental impact of energy production and utilization, I enrolled at the Polytechnic University of Torino and completed a Bachelor and Master degree in Nuclear and Energy Engineering.
After my degree, I undertook a course in strategic management, evaluation and operational organization of industrial research projects. I have also worked in state-of-the-art research centers such as Telecom in Italy and SKF in the Netherlands, increasing my awareness of how research is conducted.
When I decided to enroll in a Ph.D. I was excited to find a Marie Curie Action topic that fits my passions, aspirations, and skills, in a beautiful country like Greece. The fellowship has put me in a stimulating international environment with outstanding researchers, both of which will facilitate skill development and scientific production.
Thanks to the ITN I've acquired competencies that have been being fundamental in the position earned at Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA).
