Early Stage Researcher 10 at Queen's University of Belfast
I come from a small town named Rae Bareli, located in the central part of India. I did my schooling from my hometown and then moved to various places, exploring different opportunities and ending up pursuing a ‘Bachelors of Technology’ degree in the field of aerospace engineering, from the Indian Institute of Space Science & Technology (IIST), Thiruvananthapuram.
Thereafter, I worked for two years as a ‘Mechanical Engineer’ at ISRO Satellite Centre, Bangalore, India. My job responsibilities included design and analysis of mechanical ground support systems, numerical analysis of satellite propulsion (CFD) and mechanical structures (FEM).
After my stint at ISRO, I came to France to pursue a specialized Master’s degree in Helicopter Engineering from Institut Supérieur de l'Aéronautique et de l'Espace (ISAE), Toulouse.
As part of my master’s thesis, I worked at Blade Technology Division of Airbus Helicopters, Marseille.
Apart from academics, I have actively participated in extra and co-curricular activities and was always a part of organizing different technical and cultural events at university. I also like playing various sports including cricket, badminton, chess and volleyball.
I joined Queen’s University Belfast (QUB), Belfast, UK in July 2015 as ‘Marie Skłodowska-Curie Early Stage Researcher’ on the IODA project. My current research focuses on developing methodologies to automatically insert new CAD features and facilitate the use of CAD modelling software in optimization loop.
I completed my PhD in June 2018 and thereafter joined Liverpool John Moores university as a Research fellow working in the area of flight dynamics and simulations.
