Outreach activity was conducted in a science event "Big Bang Fair South East 2017". A wide range of activities has been planned to show the importance of "Colourful Fluid Dynamics (CFD)" to young students (above 13 yrs) in the field of engineering design and optimisation.
Optimisation has become a key ingredient in many engineering disciplines and has been experiencing a fast growth in recent years due to innovations in optimisation algorithms and techniques, coupled with rapid development in computer hardware and software capabilities.
The outreach aims at bringing together innovations and techniques involved in aircraft design with the inclusion of colourful photos and animations from applications and examples from the field of CFD.
