Geometry Handling and Parametrisation Workshop at CFMS
The IODA project and the UKFN Special Interest Group on Numerical Optimisation coordinated by Jens-Dominik Mueller jointly organised a workshop with the EPSRC-funded Geminids project on Geometry Handling and Parametrisation at the CFMS in Bristol. Over 40 participants from academia and industry attended, with a large number of industrial presentations from Volvo, Fiat, Jaguar, Land Rover, Engys, Rolls Royce, MBDA and ITI. The group discussions evaluated the state of the art in the field, with a white paper in preparation on a vision for future capability and the challenges that need to be addressed.
